Camping & a cool discovery!

Brandon is on his vacation, so we decided to go camping with the kids. We went up fairview canyon.

Here are pics of us on the drive up.....

My Gorgeous little boys.............
This is my "oh crap, what have I got myself into, camping with a two & three year old" look.

Just after we arrived at our beautiful & quite secluded camping spot, Maddex & I ventured off to find wood for a fire and discovered this sweet little guy about 30 yards from our tent. Maddex screams "OOOHHHH BAAAMMMBBIIEEEE, SOOOO CUUUUTE!! The sweet little guy let us get right up to him & I let the kids pet him with sticks(if human sent is on them, mama deer will reject them) We could tell he was only hours old. Baby deer are unsented so preditors are unable to find them. Mother deer leave them in bushes and take off for six to eight hours at a time, only returning to feed them, then leave again. Mama deer moved him during the night. He was gone in the morning. It was pretty cool, and I'm glad the kids were able to see a baby deer!
Andy's catch of the day.

My lovely catch...
The albino fish I caught. They've got RED EYES. Pretty cool.
Brandons trophy fish.......haha.
We found this tree up by fairview lakes. We carved it one month after we were married, over 5 years ago....crazy!!

The boys chillin in the tent....

Note to self: Bring foam pad next time.

Softball Tourny & the Zoo

This past weekend was busy! Tosha had her company party at the zoo & got us tickets to go too! Thanks Tosh! It was way fun! Then Brandon & Kevin played with Thunder Bay on Saturday in West Jordan, so we just got a hotel room & stayed. Brandon & Kev played awesome. Grandma & Grandpa Bailey were there too, which was wonderful!(they help out so much with the kids)
Grandma & Grandpa Bailey, Maddex & Kelby. Kelby is my cousin Shandon's girlfriend Nicole's little girl. She is so dang cute. Her & Andy had fun together. My cousin Shandon & Brandon's cousin Landon both play with Thunder Bay too. Softball tournaments are almost like family reunions!
My hot hubby at the plate.

He hit it over the fence with this swing. He hit two homeruns in the first game!

Sadly, the tournament got rained out when there was only four teams left. But I think they would have gone all the way:)

Andy & Kelby...
Happy Maddex.

Brandon & Maddex on the carousel at the zoo.

My first born & I.

This is a total Brandon look. he definately looks a lot like his daddy.

The famous lion drinking fountain. If you think about it, it's pretty gross.....is the water suppose to represent the lion's saliva? Am I the only one who has thought of this...?

Andy got his face painted like a gorilla. So CUTE!!!

HO, HO, HO...?

I was going through a big bin of baby clothes, trying to find Andy & Maddex's blessing outfits to lend out, and of course, Andy & Maddex had to help. Andy was born the last day of November, so naturally I had bought him a tiny Santa outfit for Christmas time.(keep in mind this is a NEWBORN outfit) Well, Andy saw it and just HAD to put it on, even though I had told him over and over that it was TOO LITTLE and there was NO WAY he would be able to fit into it.( It barely fit him at only three weeks old) The next thing I know, I turn around and I'll be darned, he had squeezed it on!! If he wants to do something, there isn't ANYTHING that can stop him! That kid has more determination than any one person I've ever come accross!!

A change of plans...

Concerning my jewelry... I have decided NOT to sell off my jewelry blog. At least for now. I have, however, put my jewelry for sale in "The Next Chapter", A cute craft & home decor store located on main street in Moroni. As of now, there are only six of my necklaces there. The store owner wanted to see how well they would sell before putting all my jewelry in there, so I wouldn't end up losing money. Hopefully it will sell well & I can have a whole bunch in there! I am also putting jewelry in Tosha's mom's(Teresa Larsen's) salon in Ft. Green. I will keep my jewelry blog though, so I can keep posting pic's of my jewelry. I have plans to find more stores in Sanpete to put my jewelry in. I will keep you posted!

A Small Business Attempt...

A few years ago, I took up jewelry-making as a hobby. I've done a few craft fairs, but mostly just made jewelry for friends & family. Well, I've been thinking of doing this for a long time, and I've finally decided to do it. I've set up a blog for the selling of my jewelry. I haven't decided exactly how I'm going to go about the ordering/buying system, but in a few weeks when I have everything figured out, I will start putting pieces up for sale.I am not taking personal orders...my reasoning: I have the rare & wonderful opportunity to be a stay-at-home-mom. I enjoy making jewelry...but I enjoy spending time with my children more. I want to do jewelry making on my time, at my pace. And I know some people can be very specific about what they want, and I don't want to spend my days online, looking for that exact color, gemsone, etc. Another reason is, as styles change throughout the seasons, so do the beads & pendants...therefore, a lot of my necklaces are a one time offer. I may only be able to get certain beads for so long. So when I post Pictures of my jewelry, I will let you know how many I have available. When they are gone...they are gone. If a certain piece sells well, and the materials are still available to order, I will try to make more. The good thing about this though, is you can wear your jewelry knowing you most likely won't run into someone else with the same exact neclace on!! You'll have a one-of-a-kind piece on! I Very much enjoy making jewelry & making new creations! If anyone has any styles, colors, ideas, etc., that you think would sell well, let me know! I have just a few sneek peek pictures up on this new blog if you would like to check them out....jewelrybyelise.blogspot.com

Tending Days & Jumping Bean

For the past year, I've been tending my friend's little girl a couple days out of the week. Her name is Lindsey Elise. (Yes, I like to believe she was named after me;) )Her mother works as a fourth grade teacher, and since the end of the school year is quicky inching it's way here, I thought I'd better take pictures of the kids together before it gets here.

Those of you that know our family well, know that Maddex is a jumper. I'm not talking little bounces, I mean he JUMPS HIGH! In this pic, he's not jumping from the tile, he's jumping from the carpet. Oh ya, he can get some air! At only 9 months old, he began this jumping fetish. Yes, he jumped long before he ever took his first steps. He would pull himself up on furniture and start jumping, until eventually he began letting go and making big jumps accross the room. He didn't even walk until he was nearly 14 months old. Why walk when you can jump to where you want to go & make it there in half the time? I keep thinking he's got to soon grow out of it, but at 2 years of age, he continues to jump. I think that's why he's such a skinny kid...that has to burn mega calories! Maddex, I hope you NEVER stop jumping. I have a feeling you'll be the #1 rebounder on the basketball team.....

Our Anniversary Getaway

For our 5th Anniversary, Brandon surprised me with reservations to the Anniversary Inn in Salt Lake. We stayed in the Romeo & Juliet suite.....the same exact room we stayed in one of the nights on our honeymoon! The room was so beautiful, and it brought back memories.

Brandon had these GORGIOUS dozen roses delivered to our room....what a romantic!

I LOVED the Jacuzzi tub!!!

The bed is located on the balcony & you watch this big flatscreen while laying down & relaxing.

These pictures of us were taken just after we arrived. If I'm in a car for more than an hour, I look like I've been hit by a bus.....
I wanted to steal the bed set.....I LOVE red!!

In the morning, they bring breakfast to your room. I was a dork & forgot to take pictures of it, but it was delicious! It was a Giant ooowy goowy cinnimon roll, a huge ham & cheese croissant, and yogart parfeits! YUMMMM!

This was a much needed getaway & it was sooo fun to spend it down memory lane! Thanks Brandon!
***I will be setting my blog to private on Tuesday, the 21st. If you haven't left me your email, please hurry & do so!(I know there are still a few of you) If you don't feel comfortable leaving your email here, you can email it to me at brandonbailey5 at yahoo dot com. Thanks!
